Arcades: Patio Playground in Topsail Beach, Shipwreck Point Golf on the mainland in Surf City, Docksiderland on the mainland in Surf City, and Squeaky’s Arcade in northern Surf City offer coin-operated family arcade games.

Boating: Sail or motorboat in Topsail Sound, the Intracoastal Waterway, or the Atlantic Ocean. There are boat ramps in Surf City at Soundside Park and in Topsail Beach at Bush’s Marina. Herring’s Outdoor Sports (910) 328-3291 offers kayak tours and rentals. Topsail Tours (910) 545-FISH offers scenic cruises in the Topsail Beach area and docks at the Missles and More Museum in Topsail Beach. The Belle of Topsail (910) 328-1621 or (910) 328-3323 located at 111 N. New River Dr. in Surf City also offers riverboat cruises and tours.

Eighteen Hole Golf Courses: Topsail Greens (910) 270-2883, Olde Point (910) 270-2403, Belvedere Plantation (910) 270-2703, and Castle Bay (910) 270-1978 of Hampstead; North Shore Country Club (910) 327-2410 of Sneads Ferry; and Porter’s Neck Country Club (910) 686-1177 of Wilmington offer golf to the public for a fee.  You may contact them directory for greens fees and to schedule tee times.

Fishing: Several fishing piers are located on the Island and there is always fishing in the sound or surfcasting. There are several bait and tackle shops in the area.  For deep sea fishing, call 910-545-FISH or visit Fish Topsail on the web. The Coastal Recreational Fishing License for saltwater fishing is now required. Please visit the NC Wildlife website for informaiton about it. Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center: Located at 822 Carolina Ave. in Topsail Beach, the local “turtle hospital” rescues and rehabilitates sick and injured sea turtles found in our area.  The facility is open to visitors during the summer.

Miniature Golf: Patio Playground in Topsail Beach and Shipwreck Point Golf on the mainland in Surf City offer miniature golf for the family.

Public Parks: Soundside Park in Surf City by the swing bridge offers a children’s playground with slides, climbing areas and swings as well as covered picnic areas, public restrooms, fishing areas and a pier.  Surf City Family Park located in the 1000 block of S. Topsail Dr. in Surf City offers a children’s playground with a slide and swings as well as a covered picnic area and basketball court.  Broadway Street Park in northern Surf City on the corner of Hwy 210 & Broadway St. offers a children’s playground and public restrooms.

Restaurants: There are numerous restaurants ranging from sandwich shops to gourmet restaurants.  The majority of these restaurants are located in the Surf City area, though there are several great eateries in Topsail Beach’s “business district”.

Shopping: Topsail area shops offer pleasant experiences for shoppers looking for unique and unusual gifts or for souvenirs to take home. Area shops offer everything from antiques, original artwork, and furniture to books, clothing, and surfboards.

Skating: A family-style skating rink is located in Topsail Beach above the Post Office.
