Our Leadership

Michael Harrington
President & Principal Owner

Topsail Realty Vacations is led by President and Principal Owner Michael Harrington. Mr. Harrington has over 10 years of experience in executive management at some of the biggest and most well established vacation rental firms on the coast of North Carolina. Before taking over Topsail Realty from Randy Leeseberg, he was the CEO at Resort Realty on the Outer Banks. There he oversaw the daily operations and marketing of more than 600 vacation rental homes, ranging from 16 bedroom estates, to cozy cottages and waterfront condos, five offices, and more than 100 full time employees and Real Estate agents.

Mr. Harrington was recently elected by his peers to serve as the President of the North Carolina Vacation Rental Manager's Association (NCVRMA), as well as Treasurer and Board Member for the National Vacation Rental Manager's Association (VRMA). He is frequently asked to speak at seminars and conferences on the latest vacation rental management trends in marketing, operations, and strategy.

He holds an MBA from East Carolina University, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and serves as an Advisory Board member for East Carolina's School of Hospitality Leadership. He resides in Wilmington with his wife Holly, and their three children, Jordan, Vance, and Emery.

Danny Williams
Senior Property Manager

Danny Williams comes to Topsail Realty Vacations with a diverse and well-rounded background in Real Estate and Vacation Rental Management. He has over 20 years experience in Real Estate Investment, Sales, and Property Management. In addition to being a professional vacation rental manager, Mr. Williams is also the proud owner of a vacation rental property in Surf City.

As Senior Property Manager for Topsail Realty Vacations, Mr. Williams acts as the main point of contact, and oversees the day to day communications with our Homeowner Clients. Additionally, he is responsible for monitoring and advising on the rental performance for each Client, and works hand in hand with our operations team making sure they are meeting stated objectives.

Mr. Williams is a graduate of NC State University with a BA in English. He holds a North Carolina Real Estate Broker license, and is a member of the Topsail Island Association REALTORS, as well as the North Carolina Association of REALTORS. He and his wife, Elizabeth, reside in Wilmington with their son Alston.
